Porfirio Villanueva Blanco passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Villanueva Blanco preceded in death by his parents, Idelfonso Villanueva and Perfecta Blanco. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Amparo Villanueva; children, San Juanita (Abel) Herrera, Alfonso (Carmen) Villanueva, Rosa E. Villanueva, Porfirio (Yanira) Villanueva Jr., Angel (Mary) Villanueva, Eduardo Villanueva, and Porfirio Villanueva; sister, Santos Rodriguez; brother, Jesus Villanueva; grandchildren, Vanessa (Ricardo) Garza, and Luis Adan Ibarra who were raised by Porfirio and Amparo Villanueva. He is also survived by 9 more grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends. A vigil will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 7 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 9:45 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
