Derly O. Salinas

Derly O. Salinas went to join our Lord on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Laredo, Texas after a long courageous battle with cancer. Derly was a loving son and brother. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast. Derly was very supportive to his friends and family always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Salinas is preceded in death by his mother Hilda Duran Salinas. He is survived by his father, Fidel C. Salinas Sr.; sister, Idalia (Jorge) Mendoza; brothers, Fidel (Alma) Salinas Jr., and Daniel (Angeles) Salinas; nieces and nephews, Fidel C. (Patricia) Salinas III, Adriana Mendoza, Jorge (Christina) Mendoza Jr., Daniel Salinas Jr., and Laura Denise Salinas; grand-niece Kimberly Salinas. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. A prayer service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A chapel service will be officiated by Pastor Jose Luis Renteria on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 9 a.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the family plot of the City Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to the City of Laredo Fleet Management Department employees for all their help and support and to Dr. Mateo Reyes and the 3rd floor staff at the Laredo Medical Center.
