Jose Maria Galvan

Jose Maria Galvan passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in Laredo, Texas after a battle with cancer. Mr. Galvan was a loving, hardworking father of twelve children. He was always there for his family and grandchildren. His favorite hobbies included dancing, playing pool, and music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Galvan is preceded in death by his parents, Ines and Antonia Galvan; siblings, Raul Galvan, Dora Galvan, Dominga Camacho, and Genoveva Hernandez. He is survived by his loving wife, Juana P. Galvan; children Rosa Maria (Sam) Flores, Jose Alfredo (Judith) Galvan, Juan Antonio Galvan, Angelica (Jose Luis) Virjan, Alberto Galvan, Jorge (Marie Louise) Galvan, Arturo (Elsa) Galvan, Armando Galvan, Martha Adriana Galvan, Adan Galvan, Graciela Galvan, and Elsa (Sam) Jaimez; siblings, Eulogia (Cornelio†) Rodriguez , Marcelo (Eva) Galvan, Olga (Marcos†) Guzman, and Juan (Socorro) Galvan. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday June 29, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. A private family service will be held at a later date.
