Berta S. Montemayor Berta S. Montemayor passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. She is now with our Lord in heaven. She was born in Laredo, Texas on June 29, 1920. Mrs. Montemayor is preceded in death by her husband, Teodoro Montemayor; daughters, Elisa Montemayor and Terry (Mario) Moreno, and her mother and father, Jose and Sara Salazar. In addition her brothers; Jose (Rosa Maria) Salazar, Jorge (Olga) Salazar, Raul Salazar and Roberto Salazar; her sisters, Carmen (Daniel) Botello and Eloisa Salazar. She is survived by her daughter, Sara M. (Salvador) Gonzalez of McAllen; sons, Fernando R. (Adalia) Montemayor of Laredo and Fr. Ted Montemayor SDB of California. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Salvador Trey Gonzalez III, Saraeli (Hector) Garza, Fernando (Lucy) Montemayor and Tita (Jeff) Calabrese and her great-grandchildren, Valeria and Benicio Montemayor; her brothers, Felipe (Sophie) Salazar, Antonio (Margaret†) Salazar and Sara (Cesar) Salinas as well as numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. We loved her and will be missed by all. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. All wishing to attend are asked to please meet at the church. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
