Daniel Moreno Sr. Daniel Moreno Sr., 72, passed away on Saturday, November 09, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. Daniel Moreno Sr. was married for 52 years to his wife, Maria Elena. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed going to the ranch and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all. Mr. Moreno is preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo and Carlota Moreno; brothers, Leopoldo Moreno Jr., Roberto Moreno, Johnny Moreno; and sister, Norma Vela. He is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Moreno; son, Daniel (Juanita) Moreno Jr.; daughters, Lisa M. Moreno and Claudia Y. Moreno; grandchildren, Kristina R. Zepeda, Daniel (Alyssa) Moreno III, Annalee Moreno, Laura Y. Moreno, and Alek A. Landa. He is also survived by his sister, Minerva (Jose) Sauceda as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A rosary will be recited on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Moreno Jr., Daniel Moreno III, Alex Guzman, George Kawas, Mario Casares, and Tony Arzola.
