Rodolfo Ochoa On Monday, September 8, 2014, Rodolfo Ochoa passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Ochoa was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., Mexico. He lived in Laredo for more than 70 years of his life. Mr. Ochoa is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe Ochoa and Otilia Saenz; and his infant daughter, Leticia Ochoa. Also preceding him in death are his siblings, Lydia (Luis) Penaloza, Raul Ochoa, Omelia (Alfredo) Marmolejo, Olga (Arturo) Cavazos, Horacio Ochoa, Irma Garcia, and Sara (Cristobal) Rodriguez. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Estela F. Ochoa; son, Rodolfo Ochoa Jr.; brother-in-law, Adolfo Garcia; and sister-in-law, Teresa Ochoa. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mr. Ochoa was a devoted husband, father, uncle, and friend. He was a long time self-employed businessman. All who knew him would call him Tio Fito or Fito, by his friends. He enjoyed having family gatherings and reminiscing the good old times. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a vigil (also known as a rosary) will start at 7:00 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Home, 310 Hillside Road, Laredo, Texas 78041. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home, 310 Hillside Road, Laredo, Texas 78041 to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2219 Galveston Street. A holy mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodolfo Ochoa Jr., Hector Javier Garcia, Cristobal Rodriguez III, Raul Ochoa Jr., John Jerrald Coffey, and Jose Luis Flores Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. George H. Garcia (†), Adolfo (Kinney) Garcia Jr., Hector Penaloza, Horacio Cavazos, Pepe Penaloza, Cosme Cavazos, Guillermo Penaloza, Guillermo (Willie) Rodriguez, Ricardo D.
