Alfredo Guevara Sr. Mr. Alfredo Guevara Sr., 84, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014. He is preceded in death by his beloved first wife, whom he loved dearly, Maria Guadalupe Martinez de Guevara; son, Jose Maria “Chema” Guevara. Mr. Alfredo Guevara Sr. is survived by his children, Alfredo Guevara Jr. MD JD (Renee Baffert), Omar (Elizabeth “Liz”) Guevara and Maderlin Guevara de Pinedo; grandchildren, Christian Diego Guevara, Giancarlo Alfredo Guevara, Marissa Renee Guevara, Lizabeth “Sasa” (Victor) Cardenas, Omar (Arianna) Guevara, Jr., Jose Alfredo (Sandra) Rodriguez, Andres (Gabriella) Pinedo and Maderlin Guevara; brothers, Antonio Guevara and Santiago Guevara. He is also survived by his wife, Emilia Amezcua de Guevara and stepchildren, Dina Benavides, Delia Benavides, Nora Benavides, Ruben Benavides, and Elda Benavides as well as great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
