Samuel Draper Vester April 8, 1961 - November 26, 2014 Samuel Draper Vester, 53, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Laredo Texas. Samuel was born in Houston, Texas. Sam was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the great outdoors. He was known for his compassion, his big heart, and most of all for his great outdoor cooking and bar-b-que. Our father was a generous and loving man, always welcoming family and friends to his home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Yvonne E. Vester; his children, Ennovy E. Vester and Samuel D. Vester Jr.; parents, Samuel H. Vester and Elizabeth Smith Vester; brothers, Thomas (Dee) Vester and Carson Vester, and sister Carolyn (Ray) Patton. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm. Family will be welcoming friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel, prior to departing to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where a mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
