Diana Canavati Jacaman “…O spiritual soul, when thou seest thy desire obscured, thy affections arid and constrained, and thy faculties bereft of their capacity for any interior exercise… be not afflicted by this, but consider it a great happiness, since God is freeing thee from thy self and taking the matter from thy hands.” St. John of the Cross Diana Canavati Jacaman, 79, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 in Laredo, Texas. She was born in Bethlehem. Diana was an avid bowler and a volunteer for Bethany House. She also participated in the Laredo Philharmonic Chorale. She is preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Curly Jacaman. Mrs. Jacaman is survived by her children, Diana Jacaman (Steven) Saide, Jessie Jacaman, Jackie Jacaman, George Jacaman; grandchildren, Steven (Roxanna) Saide, Adrian (Monica) Saide, Jamil (Natalie) Jacaman, Jasmine Jacaman, Christopher Jacaman, Katherine Jacaman, Jenae Jacaman, Cecile Jacaman; sisters, Jeanie (Jorge) Bitar and Maria Elena Canavati; three great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
