Mrs. Guadalupe C. Santos Mrs. Guadalupe C. Santos, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Santos was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her dedication to her family was without limits, instilling strong family values and keeping the family together. She will always be remembered for her amazing cooking. Mrs. Santos will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Erasmo Santos, Sr.; son, Erasmo Santos, Jr.; parents, Enrique and Maria Castañeda; brothers, Pedro (Rosalia) Castañeda and Ramon Castañeda. Mrs. Santos is survived by her children, Erasmo “Mito” Santos, Jr.; Laura (Doug) Kiel, Cynthia (Buddy Riley) Santos; grandchildren, Claudia (Dean) Mando, Selina (Cesar Navarro) Santos, Melissa Dominguez, Adriana (Justin) Sanchez, Austin Kiel; great grandchildren, Denise, Rolando, Liliana, Larissa, Victoria, Isaac, Jack, Mia, Alessandra, Lauryn, Damien; siblings, Enrique (Belia +) Castañeda, Estela (Ramiro +) Lopez; sister in law, Maria M. Castañeda and numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
