Felix Rodriguez

FELIX RODRIGUEZ, JR. Felix Rodriguez Jr., born August 15, 1921, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the age of 93. He was born in Encinal, Texas and lived in Laredo, Texas most of his life. Felix served his country in the U. S. Army and was a proud veteran of World War II. He then worked with the Civil Service at the former Laredo Air Force Base as a Master Carpenter for 28 years before his retirement. Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his wife, Estela G. Rodriguez. Felix is survived by his children Idalia, Felix III (Marianne), Rosalinda, Alma, Horacio (Graciela), Diana and his six grandchildren Richard (Eva), Phillip (Tracy), Gabriel (Griselda), Rosemary, Erica (Brandon), and Estella. In addition, he is survived by his seven great-grandchildren Christa Ava, Aidan, Declan, Arissa, Issak, Simone and Damon. He is also survived by his sister Delia R. Ortega. A rosary will be recited on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
