Mrs. Guadalupe S. Cabello On April 24, Guadalupe “Lupita” Cabello passed away peacefully of natural causes. She was being visited and comforted by her children and grandchildren at Country Life Assisted Living facility in Lytle, Texas at the time of her passing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, tia, and friend. A follower of Christ, she lived her life serving others--family, friends, and church. Be it a welcoming hug and smile or tamales, Lupita always shared from the fullness of her heart. Through her, her children learned to know what it is to walk with Christ, to forgive, and to love unconditionally. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Tomas Cabello; sons, Tomas Cabello, Jr. and Roberto Cabello; parents, Julian and Francisca Salazar. Mrs. Cabello is survived by her children, Teresa (Curt) Summers, Thelma (Miguel) Rodriguez, Eduardo (Annette) Cabello; grandchildren, Thomas Moses (Veronica) Cabello, Jacqueline Sanchez, Juan Ramon (Robby) Garcia, Jesse (Dolly Marie) Sanchez, Kaitlyn Cabello, Victoria Rodriguez, Tomas Eduardo Cabello; great granddaughters, Catalina, Micaela and Carmen Cabello, Alexandrea Marie Sanchez; brothers, Juan Jose Salazar and Jose Luis Salazar; daughter-in-law, Patricia Cabello and numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Christ the King Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
