Sophia Peña Sophia Peña, 14, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 in Laredo, Texas, where she was born and raised. Sophia was a beautiful and loving child that lit up a room when she walked in. She attended Barbara Fasken Elementary School, Kazen Elementary School, and Washington Middle School throughout her years of education. She will be greatly missed by all of her family. God must have needed an Angel; He always takes the best. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Raul Delgado; uncle, Ricardo Mayorga; sister, Carolina Peña. Sophia is survived by her parents, Alejandro and Carmen Peña; maternal grandmother, Julia Delgado; paternal grandparents, Juan F. and Ana Peña; uncles and aunts, Juan A. (Luz) Peña, Heriberto (Graciela) Peña, Ana Laura Mayorga, Jorge (Lamar) Peña , Cesar (Marina) Peña, Julia, Raul, and Erika Delgado; grandparents, Flavio and Myrna Garcia and numerous relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Guests wishing to attend, please meet at the church. Inurnment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
