Melida Molina

Melida Elena Molina, 82, went to heaven on Monday, October 26, 2015. She was a devout Catholic. Melida was born in Laredo, Texas with her parents being, Julian D. Garcia and Juvencia Santos. She was the youngest of five, Oscar, Eulalia, Roberto and Guadalupe. She married Antonio Molina on December 28, 1952 and had four children, Estella, Jorge, Sylvia and Antonio Jr. She lost her husband on January 22, 2009, after fifty-seven years of marriage. After Antonio's retirement, they moved back to their birthplace city, Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Molina is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Antonio Molina. She is survived by children, Estella (Dennis) Davis, Jorge (Fabiana Cely) Molina, Sylvia Molina, Antonio (Susan Rawlings) Molina Jr. ; grandchildren, Roberto Antonio Ramos, Josh McMunn, Monica Ramos-Jenkins, Cynthia Ramos, Corin Lewis-Muretcehajic, Nicole, and Andres; great- grandchildren, Madison, Zeta, Trinity, Gavin, Uriah, Miranda, Armaan, and Haris. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends especially Bavi (Dennis) Nixon, Laura (Joe) Flores, and Julian (Jackie) Herrera. A vigil will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Chapel service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. with Msgr. James Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
