Julia Koenig Julia Koenig, 96, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Laredo, Texas. She came to Laredo during the early 1940’s to work as a nurse at Mercy Hospital. She met her husband, Raymond Koenig at the First Baptist Church in Downtown and later had 2 children, David and Gloria. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wallace Koenig; son, David Koenig and 5 siblings. Mrs. Koenig is survived by her daughter, Gloria (John) Derendinger; 4 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the City of Laredo Cemetery.
