María de la Luz Ramón, 94, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Ramon is preceded in death by her husband, Leopoldo Ramon Sr.; parents Luciano and Florentina Elizondo; son Leopoldo Ramon Jr.; sister, Maria Josefina(Jorge) Ramon; daughter in law Juanita M. Ramon; son in law Antonio Gonzalez. She is survived by her daughters Sylvia Ramon Merryman, Hermila Ramon Gonzalez; son Luciano (Alicia) Ramon; grandchildren Juan( Veronica)Ramon, Leticia Ramon, Jaime(Elizabeth) Ramon, Jessica(Aladdin) Hall, Sylvia (Pedro) Gamez; great grandchildren Altheea Ramon, Antonio Ramon, Aaron Ramon, Jason Ramon, Izabella Hall, Pedro Tomas Gamez IV; numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the City Cemetery.
