Mr. Guadalupe Martinez

Mr. Guadalupe Martinez, 61, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 in Laredo, Texas. “Don Lupe”, as he was known to many friends and customers, was a business owner for over 40 years. His passionate work ethic and drive was visible to everyone he met, and he was his wife’s and daughters’ inspiration. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino and Santos L. Martinez; brother, Eduardo Martinez; sister, Leonor Aguilar. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Lucia G. Martinez; daughters, Lucia Veronica (Manuel Alejandro) Gonzalez, Lilia Vanessa (Sergio) Ramos, Linda Viridiana (Javier Gerardo) Compean; 7 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ricardo (Rosalinda) Martinez, Rogelio (Paula) Martinez, Jorge (Josefina) Martinez, Vicente (Alma) Martinez, Hortencia (Serafin) Romero, Dora Beltran, Maria (Narciso) Ramos, Maria Guadalupe (Raul) Martinez and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A prayer service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Hillside Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
