Maria Carlota Tapia

Maria Carlota Tapia, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 07, 2017 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Tapia is preceded in death by her parents, Marcelo Perez and Isidra M. Perez; brother, Marcelo Perez, Jr.; and grandson, Joshua Tapia. She is survived by her husband, of 64 years, Pedro Tapia; children, Jose Pedro (Juanita) Tapia, Magdalena (John) Rodriguez, Javier (Melissa) Tapia, Margie (Ruben) Gonzalez, and Jaime (Cricelda) Tapia ;grandchildren, John Eric, Michael Steven, Vanessa Roxanne Rodriguez, Jonathan E. Tapia, Kristina N., Carolina C. Gonzalez, Alejandro , Andrea , Alaina , Deborah, James, and Abigail Tapia; great- grandchildren, Mina, James, and Lilian. Mrs. Tapia is also survived by other relatives, and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery, Veterans Section. Pallbearers will be, Javier Eduardo Tapia, Jonathan E. Tapia, Jaime R. Tapia, Alejandro Tapia, John Eric Rodriguez, and Ruben Gonzales.
