Alma Rosa Lopez

Alma Rosa Lopez, 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2017 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs.Lopez was a strong, hardworking, and independent woman. She enjoyed working at H-E-B where she had been employed for the past 18 years where she became the 1st female stock controller at H-E-B #7. She loved her two sons dearly and her dedication to her family was without limits installing strong family values and keeping the family together. She was an animal lover always taking care of all the animals around her neighborhood including her 8 dogs. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs.Lopez is preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Alicia M. Rangel; uncles, Constantino Morales and Arturo Zavala. She is survived by her sons, Manuel Julio (Idania) Lopez and Rico Lopez; father, Jose F. Rangel; siblings, Raquel Castillo, Rebecca Rangel, Jose (Alma) Rangel ,Jr. ; grandchildren, Manuel Julio Lopez, Jr., Aaron Lopez , Alma Cyane Lopez, Jordan Juliette Lopez, Sadie Rose Lopez, Leunam Lion Lopez; great grandchildren Aaron Lopez Jr. and Alison Sky Lopez; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 12:15 p.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Agustin Cathedral. A mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Services will conclude after the mass.
