Guadalupe Saenz Jr.

Guadalupe Saenz, Jr., 82, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, surrounded by his family. He served in the Army and was an educator for 37 years with L.I.S.D. Mr. Saenz is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Gertrudis Saenz; aunt, Paula Reyna. He is survived by his wife, Teresa de Jesus Saenz; children, Guadalupe (Nora Elsa) Saenz, III, Ana Teresa (Ronald David†) Garcia, Maria Eugenia (Jose Luis) Saenz, Lizette (Ramiro) Herrera, and Patricia I. (Javier) Flores; sisters, Alicia S. (Eladio †) Zuñiga and Amelda (Alonzo L.) Ramirez. Mr. Saenz is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Immediately, a mass will follow at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Saenz, IV, Ronald David Garcia, Jr., Jose Luis Saenz, Jr., Carlos E. Saenz, Ramiro Herrera, Jr., Gerardo Gabriel Herrera, David Esteban Herrera, and Javier Flores, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Arturo Jacobs, Roberto Rodriguez, and Jose “Pepe” Treviño.
