Pedro Tapia

Pedro Tapia passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 to join his loving wife of 64 years Maria Carlota Tapia who passed away on March 7, 2017. Mr. Tapia is preceded in death by his parents Salome and Magdalena Tapia; grandson, Joshua E. Tapia; sister, Gloria Parra; brother, Dimas Tapia; step- mom, Maria Tapia. He was SFC in the US Army having served in the Korean Conflict. He remained in the Army Reserves for 30 plus years. He also worked at Entex Gas Company for over 30 years until retirement. He is survived by his children Joe (Juanita) Tapia, Magdalena (John) Rodriguez, Javier (Melissa) Tapia, Margie (Ruben) Gonzalez, and Jaime (Cricelda) Tapia; grandchildren, John Eric (Jennifer) Michael, Vanessa Rodriguez, Jonathan E. Tapia, Kristina and Carolina Gonzalez, Alejandro, Andrea, Alaina Deborah, James, and Abigail Tapia; great-grandchildren, Mina, Lilian, and James;siblings, Matias (Ana Maria) Tapia, Salome, Jr. (Juanita) Tapia, Ruben (Rosalia) Tapia, Roberto ( Mari) Tapia, Jesusa (Fidencio) Linares, Alicia (Juan) Quiroz, Jeanne Guzman, and Rosalinda (Raul) Vergara. A rosary will be recited on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery, Veterans Section.
