Miguel Angel Gallegos, 62, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Miguel Angel Gallegos proudly severed our country in the U.S. Army from 12/12/1973 to 12/10/1976. He then joined the U.S. Navy from 1/17/1991 to 04/08/1991. He was a part of the U.S. National Guard from 1/24/1997 to 9/30/2011. He then became a Deputy Sheriff for Webb County Sheriff Department from 01/29/1988 to 7/27/2012. Mr. Gallegos is preceded in death by his parents Miguel Gallegos and Maria F. Garcia; son, Miguel Angel Gallegos; sisters, Angelica Hernandez and Maria del Jesus Escalera. He is survived by his beloved wife Armandina R. Gallegos; children, Rachael (Gilberto) Garcia, Jose Segundo, Valerie (Daniel) Santos, Michelle Gallegos, Michael Gallegos, Zuzetth Gallegos; brothers, Francisco (Daniela) Gallegos, Efrain Gallegos, and Guillermo Gallegos. Mr. Gallegos is also survived by 9 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the Webb County Sheriff Office Honor Guard. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
