Tomas Mendez Sr.

Tomas Mendez Sr., 65, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Mendez is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Antonio Mendez and Maria Del Carmen Medina; daughter, Elisa Mendez; brother, Guadalupe Medina; mother-in-law, Margarita M. Bosquez. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Mendez; children, Tomas Mendez Jr., Juan Antonio (Gabriela) Mendez, Clarissa Mendez, and Steven (Karla) Mendez; grandchildren, Jancarlo Galvan, Siomara Mendez, Elisa Mendez, and Steven Mendez Jr.: siblings, Jose G. Menchaca, Gloria Ramirez, Juanita Gonzalez, Ramon Medina, Domingo Medina, and Reyes Medina Jr. nieces, Esmeralda Bosquez, Margarita Bosquez, and Maria A. Villanueva. Mr. Mendez is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Christ the King Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
