Ociel Vasquez, 84, passed away on Wednesday, August 02, 2017 in Laredo, Texas. He worked 30 years for Ramirez Mini Max as a meat market butcher. Mr. Vasquez is preceded in death by his wife, Amparo Vasquez; brother, Oscar Vasquez; sister, Carlota Palacios. He is survived by his daughters, Sylvia Vasquez, Veronica (Jesus) Peña, Juanita (Juan) Zapata, Jacqueline Cortinas; sisters, Gladiola Vasquez, Norma (Ricardo) De Leon, Lea Acosta. Mr. Vasquez is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will like to thank Dr. Arturo Garza Gongora, Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa; Nurse Practitioner, Jesus Peña, Heavenly Nurses, STAR Ambulance, APC Homemaker Services,Medcare Solutions, and Pharmacist Tony Martinez from Martinez Pharmacy.
