Adolfo Hernandez

Mr. Adolfo Hernandez, 64, entered into eternal rest on September 10, 2025, in Laredo, Texas. He was born in Laredo, Texas on June 17, 1961 and attended local public schools, having graduated form J.W. Nixon High School in 1979. He obtained an Air Conditioning Certification and worked for L.F.D. for many years. Adolfo had many hobbies, such as working with cars, listening to hard rock music and had a large appetite for food. He enjoyed talking away everyday to everyone he knew on his cell phone.

Adolfo is preceded in death by his wife, Araceli Alarcon Hernandez; father, Silvestre Hernandez, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Luz B. Hernandez and maternal grandmother, Maria Benitez; sister, Maria de la Luz Hernandez; brothers, Felipe Benitez and Florentino Hernandez; brothers-in-law: Ricardo Javier Guajardo and Manuel Ramirez, Jr.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his step-daughter, Erica Alarcon (Jesus Luna); step-grandchildren, Aaron J. Luna and Jesus M. Luna, Jr.; mother, Margarita B. Hernandez; siblings: Maria de Jesus "Susie" Guajardo, Beatriz H. Velasquez (Rudy), Silvestre Hernandez, Jr. (Margarita), Jorge Hernandez (Diana), Carmen H. Lorentz (Dal); his close friends, Ernesto and Javier Aranda, William Mastin, Francisco Lara, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nephews and grand-nieces, other relatives and many friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Ofelia Rodriguez, Laredo South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Staff, Dr. David Catano and Dr. Joseph Belanger, Nurses on Wheels Hospice, especially, Cynthia Ramirez, RN.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 2 pm until 6 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Prayer Service will be 2 pm in the chapel, led by Deacon Gerardo Morales.

A cremation and private interment will be held at a later date.
