Alberto Martinez

Alberto Martinez, 76, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Laredo, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Martinez and Isabel Martinez; his sons, Alberto Martinez Jr. and Ricardo Andres Martinez; as well as numerous siblings.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 56 years of marriage, Maria Guadalupe Martinez; his children, Vidal Martinez (+Laura), Noelia Santa Cruz (Jerry), Nancy Guadalupe Martinez (Ray Hernandez), Clarissa Fitzpatrick (Corey), and Diana Martinez; his grandchildren, Vidal Martinez Jr., Alejandra Santa Cruz, J.J. Santa Cruz, and Nelly Guadalupe Echartea; his sister, Isabel Martinez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, beginning at 7:00 a.m. to 915am. A procession will depart promptly at 9:20am to Santo Niño Catholic Church, 2801 Cross St 78046, where a funral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am. Pallbearers will be Vidal Martinez, Vidal Martinez Jr., Jerry Santa Cruz, J.J. Santa Cruz, Corey Fitzpatrick, and Ray Hernandez.
