Alicia Pedraza

Alicia Pedraza, 73, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in Laredo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose A. Cortez and Felicitas Martinez; and her siblings, Luis Cortez and Mario Cortez (Elisa).

Left to cherish her loving memory are her children, Hector Hugo Pedraza (Carmen), Jose Gerardo Pedraza (Mirna), Cynthia Muñoz (John Jairo), and Arturo Pedraza (Graciela Rivera); her grandchildren, Ava Pedraza, Alyssa Pedraza, Alexiz Pedraza, Areli Pedraza, Aiden Pedraza, Christian Calzada, John Jairo Jr., Adrian Pedraza, and Grey Pedraza; her sister-in-law, Dr. Guadalupe Cortez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Funeral Services

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, 310 W. Hillside Rd., Laredo, Texas 78041. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will continue on Monday, November 2, 2026, with visitation beginning at 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A chapel service will be officiated at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A funeral procession will depart at 10:45 a.m. to the City of Laredo Cemetery, where a graveside service and interment will follow.

Pallbearers honoring Alicia will be Alexis Pedraza, Aiden Pedraza, Christian Calzada, John Jairo Jr., Raul Cortez Jr., Pablo Pedraza Jr., Jose Luis Pedraza, and Francisco Vela.
