Alvaro Sierra

Alvaro Sierra, 90, entered into eternal rest on August 4, 2026. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elisa L. Sierra; daughter, Zeneph Sierra; and his parents, Alberto Sierra and Guadalupe B. Garza.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Patricia G. (Jose Maria) Flores, Lourdes Elena Acosta, Cynthia Garcia Herrera (Ernesto), Eduardo Garcia (Michelle), Ana Garcia, Sandra Moya (Jose), Javier Garcia (Annie), Elsa Morales, and Adriana Salinas (Jorge); grandchildren, Victor Antonio Sierra, Daisy Martinez (Juan Andres), Crystal Flores, Jose Alberto Flores (Samantha A.), Mario Alberto Sierra, Erica Sierra, Maria Elena Acosta, and Alvaro Acosta; great-grandchildren, Genesis Flores, Elijah Flores, Madeline Martinez, Brandon Martinez, Emma Flores, Mario Alberto Luna, Dereka Castillo, Dede Castillo, Draya Castillo, Danika Castillo, Devaeha Castillo, Alvaro Acosta Jr., Abriel Acosta, Alro Acosta, Guadalupe Acosta, and Maylani Howard; as well as numerous other relatives and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Thursday, August 6, 2026, beginning at 7:00 AM at Hillside Funerals and Cremations. A chapel service will be held at 9:30 AM.

Following the chapel service, a funeral procession will depart Hillside Funerals and Cremations at 10:45 AM and proceed to Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 3600 McPherson Ave., Laredo, Texas 78040, where a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM.

The services will be led by Rev. David Delgado of Gateway Assembly of God Church.
