It is with deep love and heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Amelia Moreno, a devoted woman of God whose life was a beautiful reflection of faith, strength, and love. Amelia was a hardworking woman who gave of herself generously and faithfully throughout her life. Her devotion to God guided her steps, and her love for her family was the heart of everything she did.
Amelia will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a caring spirit, a strong heart, and a deep love for those around her. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among her greatest blessings, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her example of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodolfo Moreno; son, Rodolfo Moreno Jr.; and parents, Candido and Narcissa Esquivel.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Erika Marie Moreno; grandchildren, Brittaney A. Zapata, Roshell M. Garza, Tessie Moreno, Kailah Moreno, and Rodolfo Moreno III; great-grandchildren, Delilah V. Garza, Gustavo Garza Jr., Larrissa Garza, Lorraine Garza, Kailene Moreno, Samuel Moreno Jr., Carmina Lopez, Amerie Moreno, and Rudy Matthew Moreno; brother, Candido (Sonia) Esquivel Jr.; as well as other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be: Candido Esquivel Jr., Juan Iruegas, Jordan Quintanilla, Rudy Moreno III, Gustavo "Botche" Garza Jr., Beto Moreno, Rey Moreno Jr., Michael Moreno.
Amelia’s faith, love, and gentle strength will forever remain a blessing to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she rests in the loving arms of the Lord.
The Moreno family will be welcoming visitors on Monday, July 06, 2026, at Hillside Funeral Home, 310 W. Hillside Road, Laredo, Texas, between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm. A prayer will be recited at 7:00 pm.
Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 07, 2026, at Hillside Funerals & Cremations beginning at 7:00 AM. Chapel service will be held at Hillside Funerals & Cremations Chapel at 10:00am. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11:00 AM to City of Laredo Cemetery, 3200 N Meadow Ave., Laredo, Texas.
