Mrs. Andrea Medina, age 92, passed away on September 9, 2023. Andrea was born in Laredo, Texas to Porfirio Alvarado and Maria Alvarado on February 12, 1931. 

She was preceded in death by parents: Porfirio and Maria Alvarado; sons: Gilberto Guadalupe Gomez, Luis Antonio Gomez; siblings: Porfirio Alvarado, Jose Alvarado, Leonor Benavides, Guadalupe Sotelo, Nicolas Alvarado, Josefina Lopez.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 54 years of marriage: Raul Medina Jr.; children: Gloria Andrea Medina Herrera, Armando (Anabel) Gomez, Porfirio Gomez, Rosalinda Gomez; grandchildren: Brenda (David) Robles, Jessica (Miguel Jr.) Salinas, Gloria (Ernest) Davila, Carolina Joann Herrera, Estela Aracely Herrera, Jose de Jesus Herrera III, Jorge (Janie) Gomez, Linda Rosa Gomez, Azalea (Joe) Lossing, Alejandro (Nicole Ashly) Gomez, Ileana Gomez, Sara Lee (James) Gonzalez, Liza Maribel Sanchez; great-grandchildren: William Sanchez, Brandon Sanchez, DJ Robles, Jason Robles, Mia Angela Salinas, Miguel Angel Salinas III, Milan Alejandro Salinas, Skye Nevaeh Davila, Stella Noahlee Davila, Jorge Montes IV, Antonio Jay Gomez, Arianna Nicole Gomez, Matteo Luis Gomez, Christopher Barski, Jonathan Gomez, Rosalinda (Harley) Sprinkle, Jorge A.Gomez Jr., Jezel Andrea Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillside Funerals & Cremations. A Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
