Angelita M. Perez, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

Our Lord has opened his doors to the most extraordinary mother and grandmother. Our beloved mom was always full of life, love and energy. She welcomed everyone with open arms and gave an abundance of love to every person that was in her life. Angelita… truly lived up to her name… A beautiful soul.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Perez; parents, Fortunato Mendiola and Bartola Hernandez; siblings, Frank (Beatriz) Mendiola, Benito Mendiola, Manuel (Shirley) Mendiola, San Juana Medina, Pedro (Alicia) Mendiola, and Alicia Garcia.

Mrs. Perez is survived by her children, Leticia (Candelario) Lerma Jr., Cynthia (Oscar) Gutierrez, Fernando Perez, Antonio (Norma Lydia) Perez III, Elizabeth (Javier) Lopez, and Jo Ann (Daniel) Sandoval; sibling, San Juanita (Jose Luis) Martinez; and sister-in-law, Claudia Mendiola. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Fernando Perez, Tony Perez III, Javier Lopez, Candelario Lerma, Daniel I. Sandoval, and Oscar Gutierrez.

Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Due to ongoing COVID-19, the family kindly asks all those wishing to express condolences in person to wear face masks and maintain social distancing orders.
