Arturo Montes

Arturo Montes, 94, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in Detroit, Michigan.

Mr. Montes is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Montes and Octaviana Yerena.

He is survived by his children, Sanjuanita Irma (Ignacio) Faz, Roberto (Maria) Montes, Laura (Santos) Garcia, Dora Elia Montes, Arturo (Zenaida) Montes Jr., Esmeralda Enriquez, Raquel Garza, Maria (Juan) C. Peralta, and Oscar Montes; grandchildren, Israel Faz, Miguel Faz, Teresa Montes, Christina Montes, Roberto Montes Jr., Laura Yadira Sadik, Efrain Gutierrez Jr., Crystal Gutierrez, Maria Trinidad Khan, Dora Elia Canales, Elda King, Yesenia Montes, Arturo Montes Jr., Diana Sellers, Maribel Enriquez, Alejandro Gutierrez, Oscar Santiago, Jose Omar Enriquez, Tiffany Garza, and Selena Garza. Mr. Montes is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.

Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery
