Agustin “Kiyo” Herrera II, 57 beloved father, son, brother, grandfather and friend passed away Saturday, August 29 2026.


Kiyo was born in Indiana but was raised in Laredo, TX. Kiyo always mentioned being a soldier of God and spent his life earning that title. No matter if you were a stranger he was always willing to offer a helping hand wherever he could. He was always brave and never showed any fear. He lived and loved fiercely and boldly. Kiyo shared his flame and touched so many lives during his time here on Earth. He was his family’s rebel, fighter, hero and protector.


Kiyo’s memory will be cherished and carried on by his mother, Graciela V. Herrera, his sister Ofelia Herrera Ricker, his brother Jose Antonio Herrera, his wife Darlene S. Herrera, his children Ayssa, Andreu and Nyobe Herrera, his grandson Elysian “Ely” Meserlian and many more family members and friends.

Kiyo is reunited with his father Agustin Herrera and his sister Odelia “Kiya” Herrera.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, 310 W. Hillside Rd., Laredo, Texas 78041, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Services conclude in chapel after visitation and a cremation will take place at a later date.
