Mr. Bateman Bell Lacey, 83, entered into rest on Friday, May 26, 2023, having been surrounded by his beloved spouse by his side. He was born in Laredo, Texas on December 21, 1939, the son of the late Bateman Bell Lacey and Lula O'Bryant Lacey. Bateman served as a Military Police stationed in Puerto Rico for two years, then moved back to Laredo, Texas, where he resided, wed, and raised his family until his passing. His memory will never be forgotten. Bateman retired from the Tex-Mex Railroad, a job that he had for over 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister: Julia Lacey; sister-in-law: Diana Lacey.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 50 years of marriage: Mrs. Marisa Olivares Lacey; children: Marisa Michelle Lacey, Devin Brian Lacey; siblings: Douglas Lacey and Jim Lacey, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In following his wishes, no formal service will be held, and a cremation service will take place.
