Bertha Griselda Mendez

Bertha Griselda Mendez, 64, passed away on May 18, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo E. Mendez; parents, Alberto and Sylvina Martinez; siblings, Veronica Martinez, Fernando Martinez, Alejandro Martinez, Jose Martinez, Margarita A. Talamantes, and Maria Rodriguez.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Anna Laura Rodriguez (Guadalupe Gonzalez), Carla Monica Ortiz (Raul A. Villanueva), and Alexandra Marie Mendez; grandchildren, Arturo Arredondo III, Anthony Arredondo, Arianna Lysandra Arredondo, Annahi Lovany Davalos, Annabella Lianey Davalos, Jayden Villanueva, Amelia Grace Villanueva and Abu; siblings, Gloria Gonzalez, Alberto Martinez, Rogelio Martinez, Sylvia Martinez, and Graciela Brulloths; best friend, Teresa "Terry" Ornelas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Arturo Arredondo III, Anthony Arredondo, Raul Villanueva, Guadalupe Gonzalez, Jayden Villanueva, Rogelio Martinez, Alberto Martinez, and Roxzanne E. Brulloths.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Hillside Funerals and Cremations from 5 PM to 9 PM and a rosary will recited at 7 PM. 

Funeral services will continue on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Hillside Funerals and Cremations beginning at 7 AM. A funeral procession will depart at 9 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 9:30 AM. 

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
