Brenda Mae Hines

Brenda Mae Hines, 70, was born in Lebanon, Missouri, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026. A beautiful, loving, kindhearted, and adored angel of God has returned to Heaven. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Jones; mother, Bessie Mae Smith; brother, Dennis "Fatty" Smith; and brothers-in-law, Virgil and George Hines.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 46 years, Robert Hines; her beautiful daughters, Melody, Ema, and Veronica; and her adored grandchildren, Rae Ann, Dylan, Annamae, Zoe, and Will.

She is also survived by her sisters, Jean Sims of Dunkirk, Indiana, and Katheryn Batten of Hartford City, Indiana; her brother, Jack Smith of New Lebanon, Ohio; and her best friend, Adriana (Ernesto) Lugo, with whom she worked for more than 20 years in Special Education at UISD.

The family extends a special thank-you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Doctors Hospital, especially those in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room, for their professionalism, compassion, and care.

A private cremation will be held at a later date.
