Carlos Narvaez Jr.

November 12, 1937 — September 30, 2020

Carlos Narvaez Jr., 82, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, in Laredo, Texas.

We pay a well-deserved tribute to my dear husband, Mr. Carlos Narvaez Jr. a great human being and a sharp businessman for over 45 years. He was an example of hard work and humbleness. He was always ready to help his community. He was recognized and much loved in both Laredo’s and will be missed and remembered for many years to come.

Mr. Narvaez is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Narvaez and Maria del Rosario Fernandez, and brother, Jose Ruiz.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Maria de Jesus “Marusa” Narvaez; mother in law, Maria Aurora G. Castellanos; siblings, Gilberto (Diana) Narvaez, Josefina Narvaez (Gildardo) Garcia, Rosalinda Narvaez (Jose Antonio+) Esparza, and Graciela De La Garza. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 5, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to St. Patrick Catholic Church. A mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed from the St. Patrick Catholic Church Facebook page.

Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gilberto Narvaez Jr., Gerardo Narvaez, Gabriel Narvaez, Albert Narvaez, Carlos E. Narvaez, Ricardo Castellanos, Gerardo Castellanos, and Edgardo Calzado.

Mr. Carlos Narvaez Jr. loved to contribute to the well-being of the children at the orphanage. On his behalf and at the request of his wife, Marusa, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Sacred Heart Children’s Home, 3310 S. Zapata Hwy, Laredo, Texas 78046.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the family kindly asks all those wishing to express their condolences in person to maintain social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. In accordance with the city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited. All visitors must wear face coverings while inside the building. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel.
