Cesar J. Molina

April 25, 1933 — March 31, 2021

Cesar J. Molina, 87, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in Laredo, Texas.

He was a graduate of Martin High School and Texas A & I University in Kingsville.  Mr. Molina was a Korean War veteran and a 26-year employee of the Texas Department of Human Services. In addition, he served as a member of the Laredo Planning and Zoning Commission and was the president of the Mirando City Water Supply Corporation.

He was an avid collector of arrowheads and coins. He is remembered by family and friends as a man who loved laughter, friendship, and especially song and he often said: “Mi vida es una cancion.”

Mr. Molina is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco D. Molina and Arnulfa Ramirez; and his beloved older brother, Francisco D. (Mary) Molina Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Herminia J. Molina; children, Cesar (Carolann) Molina Jr., Juan Carlos Molina, Annie Molina; grandchildren, Alejandro Molina, Roberto Molina; and brother-in-law, Humberto (Aura) Jimenez. Mr. Molina is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Hillside Funeral Home.

A chapel service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel. A formal procession will depart at 11:15 a.m.

Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Military Honors will be provided by the Fort Sam Houston Military Honor Guard and the American Legion Post 59 Honor Guard.

Due to the COVID pandemic and everyone’s safety, the number of visitors will be limited. Please continue to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and honor the family from a distance. You may express your condolences to the family on our website at www.hillsidefuneral.com

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Laredo Regional Food Bank.
