Consuelo Hernandez

Consuelo Hernandez, 96, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 23, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at home.

Mrs. Hernandez is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Rogelio Hernandez; parents, Atilano and Benita Aleman; son, Jose Luis Hernandez; grandchild, David De La Cruz Jr., and great-grandson, Godrick Richmond; and siblings, Elvia Carrillo, Raul Aleman, Benedicta Navarrete, and Elena Garcia.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ana Maria (Amado) Solis, Virgilio (Sanjuana M.) Hernandez, Victor M. Hernandez (Clint Tumlinson), Cecilia (Anna Michelle) Hernandez, Marisela Romo, Juan Rogelio (Sylvia L.) Hernandez Jr., Jose Juan (Sylvia Y.) Hernandez, Maria Elena Guzman, and Patricia (David) De La Cruz; 39 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hernandez is also survived by her siblings, Blas Aleman, Roberto Aleman, Atilano Aleman, Chelo Ruiz, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 7:00 P.M. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M.

Pallbearers will be Juan Rogelio Hernandez III, Jose Juan Hernandez, Jose Luis Hernandez Jr., Sergio Guzman Jr., Victor Manuel Hernandez Jr., Roberto Placido Hernandez, David De La Cruz, and Billy Joe Medrano. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Juan Garza and Mario Rodriguez. 

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
