Delfina Velasco

Mrs. Delfina Velasco, 90, entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2023, in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by her loving and caring family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Rafael Velasco Sr.; parents: Miguel and Maria de Jesus Gallegos; siblings: Jose Gallegos, Francisco Gallegos, Dolores Villanueva, Guadalupe Sanchez, Atanacia Carrillo.

Surviving her are her children: Juan Manuel (Irma) Velasco, Rafael (Rosa Elia) Velasco Jr., Rene (Rosa Isela) Velasco, Jose Velasco, Zulema (Angel) Guzman, Leticia (Francisco) Inocencio, Eliza (Ariel) Martinez; grandchildren: 36, greatgrandchildren: 65, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations; where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 13, 2023 departing the chapel at 9:20 am to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Juan Manuel Velasco, Rafael Velasco Jr., Jose Velasco, Jorge Rene Velasco, Jesus Angel Guzman, Ariel Martinez, Francisco Inocencio III, and Eduardo Rafael Guzman.
