Eduardo Jose Hernandez Villafranco

Eduardo Jose Hernandez Villafranco, 89, entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2026, in Jarrell, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family.

Eduardo was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was defined by his unwavering love for family, strong faith, and kind-hearted spirit. He touched the lives of many through his wisdom, generosity, and quiet strength. His legacy of love, perseverance, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eutiquio Hernandez and Maria Dolores Hernandez; and his siblings, Sor Ines Hernandez Villafranco, Sara Hernandez Villafranco, Sergio Hernandez Villafranco, Teresa Hernandez Villafranco, Jesus Hernandez Villafranco, Luz Hernandez Villafranco, Jose Hernandez Villafranco, Dolores Hernandez Villafranco, and Salvador Hernandez Villafranco.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Eduardo (Marlene) Hernandez, Gustavo (Windy M. Trejo) Hernandez, Carmina (Noe De La Rosa) Hernandez, and Esperanza Hernandez.

He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Eduardo Hernandez, Jr., Luis (Riva) Hernandez, Alyssa (Gerardo) Calderon, Clarissa (Rosendo Razo) Hernandez, Ariana C. Hernandez, Windy (Zachary Hafley) Hernandez, Gustavo A. Hernandez II, Hannah De La Rosa, Antonio H. Hernandez, Tabitha De La Rosa, Elizabeth M. Hernandez, and Damian De La Rosa; and by his great-grandchildren, Angel Hernandez, Daniela Hernandez, Lissette Hernandez, Amaya Hernandez, Elijah Garza, Lorenzo Hernandez, Xavier Calderon, Alonnie Calderon, Xyleigh Razo, Mila Calderon, and Huson Hafley.

He is further survived by his siblings, Guadalupe Hernandez Villafranco and Consuelo Hernandez Villafranco; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, 310 W. Hillside Rd., Laredo, Texas, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Hillside Funerals & Cremations beginning at 7:00 AM. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 2710 Boulanger St., Laredo, Texas, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 3600 McPherson Rd., Laredo, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Eduardo Jose Hernandez Villafranco.
