Elisa Vázquez passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026, in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a woman whose quiet strength and deep compassion touched everyone who knew her.
Elisa was known for her loving and caring nature, always placing others before herself. Her faith was a guiding light in her life; attending church—often arriving early—was one of her greatest joys and a reflection of her devotion. She carried that same spirit into her home, where her warmth and kindness created a place of comfort for family and friends alike.
A hardworking woman with “manos de oro,” Elisa had a remarkable gift for cooking. Her meals were more than food—they were expressions of love, bringing her family together and creating lasting memories around the table. Though small in stature, her presence was immense, and her compassion for others knew no bounds.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Candelario and Elisa Reyna; her sister, Maria de la Cruz Reyna; and her brother, Adalberto L. Reyna.
Elisa is survived by her devoted husband, Rodolfo Vázquez; her daughters, Clarissa Herrera (Jesus Alejandro) and Herlinda Vázquez; and her cherished grandchildren, Leander Rudy Vázquez and Landyn Vázquez. She also leaves behind her brother, Ruperto Reyna (+Graciela Medellín); her sister-in-law, Juanita P. Reyna; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to honor her memory.
Elisa’s legacy is one of love, faith, and selfless dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
