Mr. Eloy Morales, 80, was called to the house of the Heavenly Father, after having completed a long, faithful, and loving life on this earth, on December 18, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. Eloy was born on March 24, 1943, the son of Serapio Morales Jr. and Beatriz Garcia de Morales. He served proudly in the US Army and later went on to work for the US Government as a Livestock Inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture, where he retired from after 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his beloved spouse: Gloria Solis Morales; his parents: Serapio Jr. and Beatriz Morales; siblings: Rodolfo (Carlota) Morales, Rene Morales, Lydia Bustamante, Ana Maria Garcia, Maricela Muñoz; sister-in-law: Maria Elena Kock; brother's-in-law: Humberto Ramirez and Lauro Garza.
Left behind to cherish and honor his memory are his children: Beatriz Ana Morales, Eloy (Rebecca) Morales, Jr., and Daniel E. Morales; grandchildren: Eloy (Courtney) Morales III, and Sabrina Nicole Morales; siblings: Cesar (Elva) Morales, Rosalva Garza, Sylvia Ramirez, Joaquin (Juana) Solis; sister-in-law: Yolanda Morales, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9 am on Friday, December 22, 2023, to Christ the King Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the Zapata County Cemetery.
