Enrique Francisco Garza IV

Enrique Francisco Garza, IV, 60, entered eternal rest on June 3, 2023, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was born on June 8, 1962, Laredo, Texas to Enrique Garza and Maria Paz Gonzalez.

Enrique, affectionately known as "Ricky", was a devoted husband, father, and loving friend to all those who crossed his path. Ricky never met a stranger, he made friends everywhere he went. Known as a generous and selfless person, he was always first to lend a helping hand and always put everyone else's needs before his own. He never turned down an opportunity to offer help or a friendly chat, with no worry about personal gain. He spent the last 30 years as a truck driver, a dream job, as he loved life on the road. 

Ricky found the love of his life in Letty. Always caring and responsible, he promised to cherish and take care of her and her family and even vowed to show her the world; a promise he kept until his final day. Toward the beginning of their relationship, Letty would accompany him on all of his trips and together made many unforgettable memories. As Ricky would lovingly remind her, “acuerdate no se te olvide que te amo mucho” (don’t forget that I love you very Much). To his last breath, Ricky made sure his wife was well informed and didn't miss his final opportunity to tell her how much he loved her. 

He loved spending time with his wife, his family, and his beloved pet Brandy, who traveled with him everywhere. He always looked forward to and enjoyed family carne asadas and was always playful and carefree. Ricky lived his life to the fullest both on and off the road. His passing leaves us with a void that will be filled by the many beautiful memories we garnerded together during his lifetime. See you on the road someday, all our love.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Enrique Jr. (Paula) Garza and Enrique (Teresa) Salas.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Leticia Garza; children: Priscilla Garza and Christopher Garza; his stepdaughters: Alexandria L. (Julian) Ortiz and Naomi (Mario) Martinez; grandchildren, step-grandchildren:  Isela A. Martinez and Emiliano R. Martinez; siblings: Melizza Yvette Santos and Javier Rene (Sylvia) Garza; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and beloved pet, Brandy.

The family will receive condolences from 5 to 9 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Hillside Funerals and Cremations; 310 W. Hillside Rd; Laredo, TX 78041.

All services will conclude in the chapel and cremation will follow at a later date.
