Fernando Montoya

Mr. Fernando Montoya, 44, entered into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on September 4, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Fernando entered this world on November 27, 1980, in Laredo, Texas, and was a resident of Laredo for his entire life. He was employed by Fisher's Of Men, traveling all over the country.

He is preceded in death by his step-father: Jose Luis Castillo.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Maria de la Luz Montoya; children: Ashlee (Marco Madrigal) Montoya, Amanda (Angel Cantu) Montoya, Fernando Montoya Jr., Sophia Montoya; grandchildren: Katalina Madrigal, Kamila Madrigal, Sebastian Cantu, Maddison Cantu; mother: Hilda Bertha Castillo; siblings: Cecilia (Louis) Fonseca, Jose Luis Castillo Jr., Benjamin (Paulina) Castillo, Gerardo Escobedo, Hilda (Rey Montemayor) Castillo, Luis (Anna) Castillo, Zelma (Juan) Olarte, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Hillside Funerals & Cremations from 5 pm to 9 pm, where a prayer service will commence at 7 pm.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 7 am to 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church at 10 am.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
