Gerardo Lozano

November 21, 1961 — May 18, 2025

Laredo, Texas

Mr. Gerardo Lozano, 63, has now completed his journey on this earth on May 18, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, while doing what he loved best, driving around the United States as a long-haul truck driver for CES. We are comforted in knowing that we are able to bring him home to Laredo, where he will be celebrated and memorialized.

Gerardo was born on November 21, 1961, in Laredo, Texas, the son of the late Jesus and Debora Lozano. He also now joins his brother Juan Jesus Lozano and sister Yolanda Lozano in heaven.

What can one say about a man who truly loved to live life to the fullest... We can say that Gerardo was a caring, loving and happy person to be around. A loving husband, great father, amazing grandfather, and loyal friend, "Jerry" worked for the Border Region Behavioral Health Center for over 15 years. He also worked for the San Antonio State Hospital for over 5 years, having then transitioned to his passion for the road as a long-haul truck driver for the past 10 years. We will forever hold his memory in our hearts and ask that all who wish to honor his legacy by remembering to show love, care, and attention to those around you. Live life to the fullest. Jerry, until we meet again, rest in peace.

We are honoring him by having a closed casket and therefore will continue to hold the memory of Jerry alive in his celebration of life.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Marina Lozano; daughter: Evelyn (Lorenzo Guerra) Munoz; grandchildren: Daniel Andres Zuniga Jr., Ethan Jay Zuniga, and Michael Guerra; brother: Gregorio (Estefana) Lozano, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends that he met along his life journey.

A Celebration of Life and Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.
