Javier Carlos Saenz 

October 20, 1952 - April 19, 2023 

Javier Carlos Saenz, 70, was called to his eternal resting place on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He entered this world on October 20, 1952 in Laredo, TX, born to Rafael and Thelma Saenz. 

A native of Laredo, Javier also known as Jay to many, enjoyed his carne asadas on Sunday’s with his family and friends. Retired 17 years, he loved watching classic westerns and movies with his wife. 

He is preceded in death by parents Rafael Saenz and Thelma Saenz; brothers Manuel Saenz and John Saenz; sister Alicia Saenz. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Norma Saenz; children Jason Gonzalez Saenz, Connie Saenz (Christian) Romero, Brenda Saenz, and Norma Saenz; grandchildren Jorge Rivera, Noah Marcelo and Olivia Romero; sister, Gisela (Ricardo) Valdez; brothers, Rafael (Maria) Saenz, Serafin Saenz; sisters-in-law, Carmen Saenz and Delia Saenz, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillside Funerals and Cremations Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023, departing the funeral home at 8:30 AM to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM. 

Pallbearers will be Jason Gonzalez Saenz, Serafin Saenz, Jorge Rivera, Christian Romero, and Richard Marcelo. 

Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.
