Jennifer Marie De La Garza

February 2, 1955 — August 31, 2022

On August 31st, 2022 at 3:22 a.m., Jennifer Marie De la Garza was delivered from the earth’s momentary troubles.

She was born to Santos Marie Junior and US Air Force Master Sergeant James Joseph Junior on February 2, 1955. Jennifer grew to be a proud Martin High School Tiger and an even prouder University of Texas dropout. The 70s were a wild time. She was blessed to meet the love of her life, David De la Garza, and married in 1985. For 37 years, Jennifer grew a loving family and gained lifelong friends and co-workers that became lifelong friends. Her character, humor, and brilliance carried her greatly in life.

She is survived by her husband, David De La Garza; her two children, Olivia Marie De la Garza and David Joseph De la Garza; her sister, Pamela Fowler; additional family including nieces and nephews; and she would’ve hated to exclude her new Daughter-in-Law, Elise Taylor Butterfield. The world is a lot less of a wondrous place without Jennifer Marie De la Garza; she will forever be in the hearts of her family and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11:30 A.M. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel. The family will be receiving condolences from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

A formal procession will depart immediately at 12:00 P.M.

Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

You may extend your condolences, share a story, or words of comfort to the family on her virtual obituary found at www.hillsidefuneral.com

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hillside Funeral Home, 310 Hillside Rd., Laredo, TX 78041, 956-724-6060
