Jesus Abad Johnson

Jesus Abad Johnson, 55, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

He was a caring and loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Johnson and Belia Johnson, wife, Maria Magdalena Garza.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jesse Johnson, Carlos Castañeda, and Christopher Castañeda; granddaughter, Clementine A. Johnson;  Ex-Wife, Laura Castañeda, siblings, Juan Johnson, Gerardo Johnson, Beto Johnson, Eva Quijano, Lucy Johnson, Imelda Johnson, and Lupe Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on July 17, 2026, at Hillside Funeral Home and a rosary will be held at 7 p.m.

Services will conclude at the end of the visitation. A cremation will take place at a later date.
