Jose Luis Mejia, Jr. Jose Luis Mejia, Jr., 30, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 in Laredo, Texas. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Maria Luisa Mejia and Jesus L. Mejia; uncles, Jesus L. Mejia, Jr. and Pascual Cruz, Jr. Mr. Mejia is survived by his mother, Edna Cruz; father, Jose Luis (Blanca) Mejia; sister, Miranda Zoe Mejia; brother, Eduardo Mejia; maternal grandparents, Margarita Cruz and Pascual Cruz; nephew Damian Jesus Mejia; niece, Victoria Lynn Mejia as well as numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.  A mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
